FAQ

Kindly review our FAQ before your stay to be well-informed, ensuring an optimal and enjoyable retreat experience with us.

General Guidelines

Mobile devices are permitted for use only within your room to enhance your experience.

Our retreat is strictly non-smoking, including vaping or similar, and we kindly request that you refrain from bringing alcohol, caffeine, drugs, or outside food.

Please note that our retreat is not a medical facility, and while we offer some support, it is limited for serious or ongoing conditions or addictions.

We kindly ask all guests to cultivate an atmosphere of respect and consideration, both towards our dedicated staff and fellow retreat participants, ensuring a harmonious and positive environment for everyone.

Should you have any enquiries or wish to discuss these guidelines further, please contact us.

Do I Need To Disclose Any Addictions

It is crucial to assess whether our retreat is a suitable environment for specific aspects of lifestyle management and transformation.

Failure to disclose information, such as addiction to illegal drugs or alcohol, will lead to the cancellation of the booking without a refund.

Additionally, engaging in smoking, illegal drug use, or alcohol consumption on the premises (except for wine served by our team at dinner) will result in the cancellation of your booking without a refund.

Is The Venue Accessible-Friendly

Regrettably, our venue is not currently equipped to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges.

If you have specific concerns related to mobility, please reach out to our team.

Do I Need Travel Insurance

We understand that plans can be subject to change, so we advise all our guests to secure comprehensive travel insurance before their stay. It’s essential to choose a policy that covers sickness or unforeseen circumstances that might necessitate plan adjustments. Whether you’re a local driving to the retreat or an international traveler, please be aware that your booking constitutes a non-refundable and non-transferable holiday/package. When selecting your insurance, consider coverage for cancellation fees, lost deposits, medical expenses, evacuation, personal effects, travel delays, and personal liability. Make sure to carefully review the product disclosure statement to choose the most suitable policy. Good Journeying bears no responsibility or liability for any costs related to changes in your travel arrangements.

Our Cuisine

Our meals centre around a vegetarian, organic, and locally-sourced wholefoods approach, occasionally featuring fish and chicken. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea with grazing platters are included.

Meals are served buffet-style at well-spaced intervals, encouraging mindful eating to foster appreciation and presence. Our retreats offer a break from red meat, alcohol, sugar, and saturated fat.

Chai/coffee will be available only before 11:30am each day.

Certain special diets may involve an additional fee.

Please inform our team of any dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances you may have.

Food Philosophy

The foundation of our menu is based on Mediterranean plant-based recipes. All designed around simple and holistic principles using seasonal, organic farm-to-table produce from the Byron Bay Shire. Our chef Alex and nutritionist Donna will provide all of our guests with a menu tailored to improve, not only your brain health, but to provide a sensory feast and memorable connections that nourish the soul.
